Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-10 (version 2026-10.3)
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information VoixPlus Technologies collects when you use this site, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. It follows Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for people located in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible for your data
VoixPlus Technologies, 2370 Rue Trudeau, Québec (QC) , Canada.
For any question or request about your data: contact@voixplus.com.
2. Information we collect
- Customer account: first name, last name, email, phone number and country of origin (optional), password (stored encrypted, never in clear text), preferred language, date and version of the terms accepted, last login date. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google identifier, verified email and name — nothing else.
- Delivery addresses you save.
- Country of origin (optional): this information may be considered sensitive. We only collect it if you choose to provide it, with your explicit consent, solely to choose the products we stock and better serve our customers. We do not use it to target or profile individuals, nor do we share it. You can change or erase it at any time in your profile.
- Orders: products, amounts, delivery or pickup method, status and history. For an order without an account: name, email and phone number.
- Payment: online payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or keep your card number; we only keep the payment reference.
- Messages you send through the contact form (name, email, message).
- Newsletter: your email, language and the date of your consent.
- Reviews, favorites and cart linked to your account.
- Technical data: IP address and security logs (attempt limiting, abuse detection), cookies required for the site to work (see the cookie policy).
- Browsing statistics — only if you accept them: pages and products viewed, searches made, cart additions, where the visit came from (referring site or campaign), device type and a random identifier kept in a cookie. We record neither your IP address nor your exact browser, and nothing is sent to a third-party analytics service. If you are logged in to your account, this data may be linked to it. It is disabled if you refuse “analytics” cookies or if your browser sends “Do Not Track” / Global Privacy Control.
We do not collect sensitive information and we make no fully automated decisions about you.
3. Why we use it (and on what basis)

We never sell your information and do not use it for targeted advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Only with the providers needed to run the service, who may use it solely on our behalf: Stripe (online payment), our hosting provider, our email provider (sending confirmations and messages), Cloudflare (site performance and security) and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). Some of these providers may process data outside Canada or the European Union (notably in the United States), under the contractual safeguards required by law. Store staff only access the data relevant to their role, and administration access is protected by two-step verification. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. How long we keep it
- Account (including phone and country of origin), addresses, favorites, cart: until you delete your account.
- Orders and accounting records: at least 6 years, as required for tax purposes; after you delete your account they are kept without any link to your identity.
- Sent emails (technical log): 12 months.
- Contact form messages: 24 months.
- Administration activity log (includes staff IP addresses): 24 months.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe; your email may then be kept on a suppression list to honor your choice, unless you ask for complete erasure.
- Password reset links: 1 hour. Attempt-limiting counters: 24 hours.
- Browsing statistics: 13 months maximum; visitor identifier: 6 months.
- Your cookie choice: 6 months.
6. Your rights
At any time you can:
- access your data and get a copy (portability);
- correct it;
- request its erasure;
- request restriction of processing or object to it;
- withdraw your consent (newsletter, cookies, Google sign-in), without affecting what happened before.
Most of these actions are self-service in your customer area: profile editing, download of all your data, newsletter management and account deletion. Otherwise, write to contact@voixplus.com; we reply within 30 days at most. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in the European Union, with the data protection authority of your country.
7. Security
Encrypted connection (HTTPS), irreversibly encrypted passwords, protection against forged requests, login attempt limiting, restricted access and two-step verification for administration. No system is infallible: if an incident poses a serious risk to you, we will notify you and the competent authorities as the law requires.
8. Children
The site is not intended for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date and version at the top show the latest revision; for any important change, we will invite you to review it in your customer area.
